Award-winning photojournalist | Documentary sports storyteller
For over two decades, Elizabeth Kreutz has been at the heart of sports’ most unforgettable moments. Specializing in documentary sports photography, she has traveled the world capturing elite athletes, major sporting events, and behind-the-scenes stories with unprecedented access.
A Texas native, Elizabeth studied photojournalism at the University of Texas under the esteemed J.B. Colson. Since then, she has covered the Tour de France, Olympic Games (Torino 2006, Beijing 2008, LA28 2024), Formula 1, IndyCar, NASCAR, the NFL, USA Rugby, USA Soccer, and the Ironman World Championships, among many others.
She has been the trusted personal photographer of Lance Armstrong for over 30 years and has also worked with Ryan Hunter-Reay, Jimmie Johnson, Top Rank Boxing’s Manny Pacquiao and Tim Bradley, and music legend Lyle Lovett. Her ability to seamlessly blend into the world of elite sports and high-profile events, earning the trust and respect of her subjects, allows her to document history from an insider’s perspective and capture truly unique moments.
Elizabeth’s work has been published in Newsweek, Sports Illustrated, USA Today, The Guardian, L’Équipe, La Gazzetta dello Sport, Stern, Outside, Runner’s World, VeloNews, Triathlete, and more. She has been recognized with some of the industry’s top honors, including World Press Photo (First Place, Sports Feature Story), Pictures of the Year International (First Place, Sports Picture Story), and Photo District News Annual Winner for her work with Armstrong.
A proud Sony Alpha Female, SanDisk Pro Team member, Newswear Ambassador, and F-stop Global Icon, Elizabeth is passionate about capturing the emotion, intensity, and raw humanity behind sports. Her camera has been her passport to history, trusted by world-class athletes, musicians, and cultural icons to tell their stories authentically.
When she’s not behind the lens, Elizabeth is home in Austin, Texas, with her husband, James Bonney, and their two sons, Charlie and Ben—Who are all three athletes! She loves supporting and cheering them on in their athletic passions and snapping photos just as fiercely as the athletes she photographs.
